Free PLO5 & PLO4 preflop GTO ranges, trainer and equity calculator

PLO Spot is a free Pot-Limit Omaha study suite. Solver-computed preflop ranges, an interactive trainer that grades your decisions, and fast equity calculators — all in the browser, with no account and no download. New to Omaha? Start with the rules. Here for the ranges? Open PLO5.

The tools

Five free tools. Start with the default 6-max, 100bb preflop spot, then check the scenario selector for the available game conditions. The calculators compare hands you enter.

What the range browser shows you

Pick a seat along the action row — EP, MP, CO, BTN, SB or BB — and the range panel fills with every starting hand that position can be dealt, sorted by what the solver does with it.

  • Each row is one starting hand, drawn as its actual cards. PLO5 has 134,459 distinct hands, so search and the category filters are the normal way to work.
  • The percentage is how often the solver takes that action with that hand. 100% means always; a mixed number like 62% means the hand is split between actions in the stored strategy.
  • The EV column is the expected value of the action in big blinds. Comparing EV between two actions tells you what a mistake actually costs — often far less than players assume.
  • The Categories panel groups hands by shape (double-suited, one-pair, rundowns) so you can see why a holding belongs in a range instead of memorising individual hands.

How to use it

  1. Browse a spot. Choose your game, then click through the action row to the exact node you want — an open, a 3-bet, a defence.
  2. Understand the pattern. Look at which hand shapes fold and which continue. Patterns transfer between spots; individual hands do not.
  3. Drill it. Hit Train to be dealt real hands from that node and have each decision graded against the solver.
  4. Settle the maths. Use the equity calculator whenever a hand surprises you.

Where the ranges come from

The preflop strategies are stored solver outputs. Start with the default 6-max, 100bb scenario and check the selected configuration before comparing a hand or action. Coverage depends on the dataset; missing data is not an instruction to fold. The data & method page documents the solver, the bet-sizing tree and the coverage.
